Principles of Security: Cryptography

Data Confidentiality
  • Privacy
  • Protect the information from any unauthorized disclosure
Data Integrity
  • Data received should be exactly same as the data sent.
  • There should be no modification.
Data Availability
  • Data must be available to the authorized parties.
Authentication
  • Ensure communication is authentic
  • Verifying the identity of sender/receiver.
Non Repudiation
  • Sender/receiver can not deny of transmitted data.
